I copied the def file from the game folder and extracted it with SCS Extractor and in the country folder I just removed the MAX_LIMIT line from each speed_limit.txt file. For the few places that go higher, you could disable to speed limiter (unless doing External work) and then go that little bit more and do the 97 or 100kph allowed there. If you want to play by the book, then you'll drive at 90 max. If you want to speed over, you can indeed disable the truck limiter in the options, except for the external contracts. #2. JDumbz May 27, 2018 @ 11:50pm. The speedlimit is supposed to be 80 km/h in Sweden, its the real limit, why it was 90 km/h in places I dont know, been like that for ages. Good to know they finally fixed that. That said, most trucks here seem to do 85 - 90 anyway. Disable the limiter, go to the controll menu and set some keys for increase and degrease speedlimit. Stuff that I've found out through experimentation to enhance the ETS2 experience. Note that I play with a gamepad, so many of these tips will relate to that. 1: Control tuning. Set your triggers to acceleration and braking. Don't know why this isn't the default setting. Set your right stick to look. There is a setting in Options to disable this speed limiter. However, if you take a job from External Contracts the speed limiter will be forcibly enabled regardless of your setting. Then why American Truck Simulator also has this limit ? Same game engine. And same setting you can disable when not performing WoT contracts.
